The NOVA Discovery 1″ Hornung Jaw Set (SKU 32001) provides secure, precise holding for smaller woodturning projects. NOVA developed these specialized jaws with our trusted friend, demonstrator, and dealer Jeff Hornung.

The jaws firmly hold a 1″ tenon (spigot), making them an excellent choice for detailed work. Their compact profile also provides easy access around smaller workpieces. Therefore, they work especially well when both control and secure holding matter.

Quick-Change Convenience

The distinctive Discovery jaw shape forms an important part of the quick-change system. It allows you to remove and install complete jaw sets directly on the chuck.

Simply unlock the jaws and lift them out. Then, install your next Discovery jaw set without removing the chuck body from the lathe. There are also no traditional jaw-mounting screws to remove and replace.

As a result, switching jaws during a project becomes quick and convenient. You spend less time setting up and more time turning.

Secure 10° Dovetail Grip

Interior and exterior 10° dovetail profiles provide reliable holding in both contraction and expansion modes. In addition, fine internal serrations firmly grip round stock.

This combination provides secure holding across a versatile range of smaller workpieces. Whether gripping a spigot or expanding into a recess, the jaws give you dependable holding options.

NOVA Discovery 1″ Hornung Jaw Set for Specialty Projects
