What sets Ornamental Turning (OT) apart from well done decorative turning? Generally, OT describes controlled, precisely cut decorations that are placed on turned surfaces.

OT is an old and revered art which reached its height in the Victorian era using expensive and especially designed Holtzapffel lathes - now collectors pieces.

Many modern woodturners have recognised the possibilities of OT to enhance their turning but lack of available equipment has made it practically inaccessible. 

Now with the introduction of our innovative Nova Ornamental Turner; the recent growing interest in OT amongst woodturners can be realised in modern woodturning applications. Many of these can be simply and quickly applied. However you can also develop complex patterns and decoration to match your more intricate projects.
