NOVA TOOLRESTS

The toolrest is one of the most important features on any lathe. The rest should allow for maximum flexibility of chisel movement and provide adequate chisel support as close to the cutting edge as possible. All the toolrests manufactured come with the standard size shank of 1 inch to fit the Nova Lathes.

The NOVA Woodsurfer™ bowl rest provides rock solid stability for turning of all bowls.

Made from high quality cast iron, the Woodsurfer™ is the perfect companion to the large bowl capacities on both the NOVA 1624 and the NOVA XP DVR lathes.

The NOVA Woodsurfer Bowl Rest is cast from a high grade cast iron with solid section thickness and CAD generated gussets at critical points., designed to withstand extremely high stresses with practically no distortion
• Sturdy enough to cope with the big bowl turning capacity the NOVA 1624 & DVR XP has – 29” bowls (with optional outrigger accessory)
• Designed Specifically for Bowl Turning. CAD designed and thoroughly user tested , the curved shape optimises performance of the chisel when turning bowls.
• Solid 1”/25mm Shank. Provides a rock solid platform for turning. Industry standard 1”/25mm shank means that the NOVA Woodsurfer™ Bowl Rest will fit other lathes.

Toolrest made out of solid steel top. 300mm long, it comes with a sturdy 1" shank for solid support. This size comes standard with the Nova 3000 lathe.

Toolrest 100mm

Toolrest 100mm long, with the solid 1" shank. Handy for smaller work when you don't want a toolrest to get in the way.
