The SuperNova Deluxe chuck is a large, solid chuck designed for larger lathes and work. it features a captures pinion handle, a covered back and comes with the Powergrip Jaws as standard.  Note: The SuperNova Deluxe is the two holed jaw slide version of the Nova Titan, and is only availble on the UK market. See the Nova Titan if you live outside of the UK.

Top of the range chuck for larger, heavier chucking work. Has both the power and extra diameter holding capacity for larger work. However the Supernova Deluxe chuck is still relatively light and uses the Teknatool Insert system, allowing it to be used on mid range lathes like the Nova 3000 where extra security is required for large spigot or bowl work. Like the Nova & SuperNova, the SuperNova Deluxe is able to interchange jaws and inserts with these chucks.

The Supernova Deluxe 5in in diameter is just over a 1"(24.5mm) in diameter larger than the Supernova. This extra size translates into a rugged chuck that is perfect for large lathe and larger solid project. In it's standard configuration, the Supernova Deluxe can handle bowls up to 482mm/29" and spigots up to 482mm?19"


Easy to use
All Teknatool chucks are designed to operate in both the expanding and contracting modes, and the Deluxe Supernova is no exception. like the other Teknatool chucks, the Deluxe uses a scroll action. there is an instant change between contracting (spigot) and expanding (dovetail) modes. The unique captured pinion means you only need one handle to operate.
Screw Chuck Mode
Powerful extra long Woodworm screw is purpose designed for screw chucking. it provides tenacious grip even in end grain. The Woodworm screw us quickly and easily mounted in the chuck.
New Teknatool Standard 3 screw Jaw Fixing
For the new Series of very large Jaws. The large chuck incorporates the new Teknatool standard 3 screw collet fixing. This allows the chuck to mount all existing Nova/SuperNova Jaws via the 2 screws and groove. It also allows the mounting of the new series of very heavy duty Jaws via a second groove and third screw
