Welcome to the Teknatool International User Ideas Page.  This page has been set up as a users page to post any ideas you may have using either the Nova or SuperNova Chucks that Teknatool International produces.

We have recently had a large competition where you submitted ideas on using our equipment and we gave you the opportunity to win a SuperNova Chuck and Accessory Jaw as prizes.  To encourage more submissions, we have decided to continue this very popular competition and extend it  - for good!  What this means for you is that for every submission - you gain a better chance of winning our products.

Don't you think a SuperNova Chuck and a Jaw Set of your choice would be great to add to your collection?

If so, then please, don't be shy and submit your ideas to us.  We will publish winners each month and remember - the more detailed and original the submission - the better the chance of winning!

Here are the submissions from the winners of last month's competition...

Cole Jaw Set

COLE JAW USER IDEA
Submitted by - John Whitmore, Auckland, New Zealand
Mr. Whitmore won the First prize of a SuperNova Chuck and a 35mm Spigot Jaw (His Choice)

"My Cole Jaw set is so useful that I have it permanently set up on a dedicated chuck.  However, I suggest that the most versatile use of Cole Jaws is achieved by designing the work piece so that it can be reserved using the chuck's expansion node, not the contracting mode described in the Teknatool literature...                                    More...

Mr. Mohr won a runner-up prize of a Teknatool International T-Shirt

"My favorite Jaws and a tip:
My favorite jaws are the step jaws.  I am relatively new to woodturning, but the SuperNova Chuck with the Step Jaws make it extremely easy for a pro or beginner to hold projects of different sizes and in different ways.  I like them the best because I can contract to hold several different size bowl bottoms to hollow out a bowl...                                                            More...

Mr. Clayton won a runner-up prize of a Chuck Spur

"I have been turning for a little over one year now.  I am often found spending much of my weekends in the garage with my many woodturning projects.  The first class I took on the lathe was showing us the least expensive way to turn bowls, with glue blocks.  Several came off....                More...
